"Not So Good News"

"An adopted child grows in your heart."  You probably have heard that sweet saying before, well we are experiencing it.  It is amazing how God places a child, or in our case, two children in our hearts and the love for them just grows and grows.  


We know Dusty and Nikita are not technically our sons yet, but in our hearts they already are!  So when we got some "not so good news" our hearts broke.  We received word that Dusty is in the hospital and that he has been diagnosed with Leukemia. We are praying without ceasing that we can bring them home quickly
 ... so they can receive the best medical care that can be provided
 ... so they can experience the love of parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and most importantly
... so they can know the love of their Heavenly Father!
  
These fragile children have been a precious gift to us and our family - they have strengthened us. It becomes more clear that God has brought us together with these children to care for them and to tell them of Jesus' love.  


Please pray for healing!  Pray that we can get there soon!

  1. Oh no, poor Dusty! Praying with you that you can get him (and Nikita) home as soon as possible, and while he is waiting he is getting all the medical care he needs!

  2. We have been keeping them in prayer....even Ethan remembers every night to pray for the "kids the Hinz' are adopting" along with Julia and Aaron : ) Poor little guy...we hope and pray you can get to them VERY SOON!!

  7. Oh my goodness gracious. It is with such a heavy heart that I write this, friend. My heart is aching for him...and for you. Oh my. I know you are longing to go and get them and bring them home.

  10. This is Joyce. I just read your comment on Kristen's blog. It is so wonderful that you are adopting two little boys. Sarah wants me to tell you we will start quilts for them this week. How heartbreaking to know the Dusty is without you at this moment. We will pray that it all works out the way it is meant to be.
