This is Our Story, This is Our Song, Praising Our Savior All the Day Long!

The title of our post today is from the song, Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine.  We are praising God for our safe and joyous return home!  EVERYTHING about our trip was FANTASTIC! Especially the two extra sweeties that we got to bring home with us!  Along the way God made sure we crossed paths with some wonderful people.  We enjoyed sharing our story with them.

Welcome HOME - It's a Girl... It's a Boy!!!!

Then off to the Doctor's Office
Our doctor recommended we take the children to St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond.

We certainly wish the children were able to be at home with us.  Fortunately they are in a wonderful hospital with fantastic doctors and loving nurses.  The children are in the SAME room and John has been with them the entire time.  It's an hour away from our house so the rest of us are able to go and visit each day for a few hours - even Johnny and Carolyn!  Grandma Brwee is going to spend the night tonight since John works on Monday.  We will keep you posted on their progress.  Thanks for your continued prayers!

  5. Oh, my heart breaks. We are hoping to adopt Shawna and Lindsey. Makes me realize all the more how this will be a rescue mission for their very health and lives. I'm so glad you made it home safely and smoothly!

I am so thankful they are receiving the love and care they need - it's clear from these pictures that they are absolutely cherished by your family. Tell the doctors and nurses at the hospital that lots of RR community members are praying for these two little ones. The children and your family will go on my church's prayer list tomorrow.

  10. Oh what wonderful pictures!!! I'm so sorry they had to go to the hospital but after seeing that picture of AJ I see why! Oh I know they will just change so much every day now. Glad they are getting the care and love they need and deserve!

  12. Oh Amy!! My heart hurts for you having your babies in the hospital so soon after your return. I hope they can get out soon and be healthy and feel well.

    I must say you looked fabulous in your pics upon arriving home. I wished I looked that good after so many hours traveling. Loved the Limo. Will be praying for your lovies.

  14. Sonya and Dusty are two very special children to be adopted by your family. They look so happy and content to be with you! I'll pray for their speedy return to good health. They are at a hospital named after Our Blessed Mother, so I know this is a very good place to be. She is blessing them with her motherly love and care. May God bless your family!

  27. That picture of Dusty showing how little he really is, is so sad. Is Sonya the same way?
    You did not really say but I assume this is why they both were admitted. I am truly sorry but now they are in a good place to get good care and loving from Mommy and Daddy.
    Hopefully they will be home SOON!

  29. The pics of all the family members loving on those babies is priceless and gave me goosebumps! Looks like grandparents will be making up for lost kisses and hugs! Yeah! Praying for a very quick recovery and healthy weight gain! It's amazing what love and medical care can do! But God does so much more!

  33. Glad you are home with your lovies. Sorry that they had to be hospitalized immediately but if it means they will get better, then that is what matters. I am so glad to hear that your husband or their grandmother is going to stay with your children while they are in the hospital.
    They should be treated just like any other child no matter if they are just joining your family.
    There is another family who adopted from the UK and just got home not long ago. They had to have their daughter put in hospital and no one was staying with her while she was there. It broke my heart to hear this. Makes me wonder if they would leave one of their biological kids in hospital all alone. I doubt it!

    Hope your 2 are home very soon if not already!

I an not an emotional Guy, but when I read the title of this blog article it literally brought me to tears! Thank you for faithfully obeying God's call on your life. Thank You for giving these two wonderful children a chance to flourish and experience God's love on their life. Keep loving those children and keep praising God.
