Day 6 - Groundhog Day?!!?


Today, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 John and I walked into the groupa of our little ones.  Sonya and Dusty were in their cribs.  A nanny took Sonya out to wipe her face.  I think she had just finished eating something that looked like a cookie.   John had the privilege of being able to pick Dusty out of his crib.  We both look forward to the day we take them BOTH out of their cribs – FOREVER!

Dusty was feeling better today…never had to wipe his nose.  Woo Hoo!  John and I took turns having him sit on our laps.  There were less moans and groans and teeth grinding today… another bonus!  Trying to get him to make eye contact is difficult, but he did it a little.

Sonya doesn’t stay in one place too long.  She needs to make her rounds to see everyone.  She loves to hug and snuggle. We are very thankful that she has had lots of attention from the nannies at the orphanage.

We upgraded to a new operating system on our Mac so that we can Skype with friends and family back home.  After the upgrade, it was discovered that our iPhoto now has a function that will tag faces.  After doing that last night for some time I did a slide show of Johnny.  It was a wonderful walk through memory lane!  Johnny will turn 5 next month and we have made MANY memories…it makes me sad that we have missed 6 years of Dusty’s life and 5 years of Sonya’s.

Thank you for following along with us.  Our days are very repetitive and to some extent it is similar to the movie Groundhog Day.  We are making the most of our time together with these sweet babies and hope you enjoy reading about day # 6.

  5. I didn't realize Dusty was 6. He looks so young. It is such a good thing you are there to rescue him.
